Rains – Stockholm
We’re proud to unveil the second iteration of the RAINS global retail concept – a system we developed and continue to evolve worldwide. Each location is an experiment in adaptability: one architectural language, many local dialects.
In Stockholm, that language meets Scandinavian calm and structural precision – a dialogue between industrial clarity and restraint that keeps pushing the concept forward.
Brief
Following the Amsterdam debut, Stockholm presented the challenge of translating the concept to a new context while keeping its identity intact. The result is a space that feels consistent with the RAINS universe yet unmistakably anchored in its surroundings.
Architecture & DesignC
ontinuous Grid. The grid remains the backbone – defining flow, balance, and order.
Its precision holds the space together while allowing each site to interpret it through its own materials and light.
Material Dialogue
Matte and reflective surfaces play against each other, creating depth within a monochrome palette.
The existing wooden floor was preserved and painted grey to match the tiles – a subtle nod to Stockholm’s domestic calm. Atmosphere & Flow Light plays a quiet role in shaping perception, shifting from open brightness to diffused intimacy. Moving from open and bright to diffused and intimate, it’s minimal but not cold, structured but never static.
The Experience
Stockholm extends the RAINS system – modular, monochromatic, and tactile. An enveloping architecture that feels local yet unmistakably part of a larger vision. Proof that even a global framework can stay fluid, refined, and human.
