For Rains’ Madison Avenue flagship, we set out to create a space that feels like an extension of the brand itself—industrial, futuristic, and functional. A place where sharp lines, raw textures, and reflective surfaces blur the boundaries between retail, installation, and urban environment.
From the LED-lit entrance to the sculptural steel and glass fixtures, every element is designed to mirror Rains’ vision of technical precision and urban resilience, shaping a space that feels both striking and seamless.

Rains has always existed at the intersection of function and statement, utility and edge. For their Madison Avenue flagship, the challenge was to create a space that feels like a natural extension of this philosophy—raw, technical, and as sharp and functional as the garments it showcases.
A monochrome, high-tech environment that mirrors the brand’s clean, industrial aesthetic. A space where architecture and fashion blend seamlessly, shaping an immersive experience rather than a traditional store. A precise balance of material contrast and futuristic elements, from steel and glass to sculptural installations.
Architecture & Design
Rains Madison is defined by clean geometry, sharp contrast, and an industrial minimalism that feels both futuristic and grounded. The space is stripped back to black, steel, and glass, with every detail designed to reinforce Rains’ commitment to technical performance and modern urbanity.
An LED-Lit Entrance – A glowing, high-tech gateway that pulls visitors into the Rains universe.
A Monochrome Space – The entire store is rendered in stark blacks, polished metals, and transparent elements, amplifying the feeling of precision.
Sculptural Functionality – A custom central podium serves as both a statement piece and a highly functional display unit.
The Black Art Wall – A large-scale installation by Jacob Egeberg distorts perception, adding a dystopian energy to the space.
Seamless Integration – Glass partitions keep the entire one-room concept fully visible from the street, creating a constant dialogue between the store and the city around it.
