The new J.Lindeberg store delivers a bold surge of energy into the Mall of Scandinavia, one of Stockholm’s most dynamic retail destinations. An arena-like environment that takes advantage of its prominent corner location to create an open and highly visible space, where fashion, sport, and design converge, reflecting a brand in constant motion.
Brief
The store marks the brand’s first location in Sweden to fully embody a new retail concept at the intersection of sport and fashion – translating J.Lindeberg’s forward-thinking identity into a high-impact retail experience designed to stand out in one of Stockholm’s most fast-paced retail environments.
Architecture & Design
Color as Identity
A bold orange volume anchors the interior, housing key functions while setting a clear visual identity. Color is used architecturally, framing thresholds, highlighting key zones, and injecting rhythm throughout the store without overwhelming the product.
Bold Geometry
The layout is defined by soft curves and sculptural volumes that bring movement into the space. Rounded display plinths and counters create a fluid circulation path, encouraging exploration while maintaining a clear visual hierarchy.
Material Language
Custom-designed furniture in steel and wood integrates architecture and display into a single system. Full-height glass, orange curtains, and mirrored and acrylic signage introduce transparency and layered depth, while refined locker-room references appear in the fitting rooms – subtle nods to performance environments, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.
Ceiling and Light
Overhead, a geometric ceiling grid with integrated skylight elements delivers focused, even lighting, reinforcing the connection between precision, energy, and spatial clarity.
