Greenhouse Bar: Design for a Circular Future

For the Greenhouse Bar at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2024, we wanted to create more than a meeting and catering space—we wanted to design a proof of concept. Built in collaboration with a network of sustainability-focused partners, the bar blends modularity, material innovation, and visual energy to show what’s possible when values align.

Brief

Industry fairs are high-intensity moments—but they don’t have to be wasteful. Our vision was to build a space that could support the rhythm of the fair while embodying circular design principles:
Use of recyclable, reusable, or already-recycled materials.
Collaborate with like-minded suppliers and producers.
Create an environment that’s functional, social, and visually memorable.

Design & Execution

Everything in the Greenhouse Bar is rooted in purpose and movement:
Core Structure – Modular stainless-steel kitchen systems by Very Simple: Kitchen, customized by us with a brushed finish to amplify the material’s natural glow.
Surfaces – Recycled plastic countertops from Plastiz in a custom colorway that channels energy and flow.
Furnishings – Tables and benches built from Polygood panels, courtesy of Good Plastic Company and GOP.

Grounding Element – Bold red linoleum flooring by Forbo, made from 99% natural materials and fully reusable post-fair.

The result is a vibrant, low-impact space where aesthetics and sustainability go hand in hand—a place designed for gathering, thinking, and moving forward.
