Ganni – Chicago
In Chicago, GANNI takes on a lighter, more distilled form – a bright, calm space that sheds any unnecessary features, focusing instead on warmth, sustainability, and architectural clarity, – where every surface, material, and proportion contributes to an atmosphere that’s understated, tactile, and quietly confident.
Brief
As part of GANNI’s ongoing collaboration with Stamuli, the Chicago store extends a design language that’s been evolving across continents. Each project builds on the last, refining a shared vocabulary of clarity and awareness. Here, the goal was to create a space that feels pure and composed, while introducing subtle contrasts that express GANNI’s maturing identity – playful in spirit, yet more measured in tone.
The Experience
The space feels immediate yet layered – minimal at first glance, but full of quiet detail. From the earthy clay floor to the metallic core, Chicago expresses GANNI’s grounded energy and evolving maturity: welcoming, sustainable, and effortlessly modern.
Architecture & Design
Single Volume
The project unfolds within a single, minimal space – open, compact, and deliberately restrained. A continuous clay floor replaces concrete, offering a sustainable alternative with a softer tone and tactile warmth.
Box within a Box
Laminated aluminium fitting rooms introduce a controlled contrast – cool against warm, industrial against natural. A nested composition of forms defines the rhythm of the space through a sculptural break – sharpening perception without overwhelming it.
Material Dialogue
Natural clay and brushed aluminium establish a dialogue between subtlety and strength. The result is elegant and sustainable. A refined atmosphere where contrast becomes the language of calm.
