Alexander Wang – Xiamen
Set in the coastal city of Xiamen, this store takes Wang’s industrial minimalism to its most mirrored, distilled form. Wrapped almost entirely in polished stainless steel—from walls to ceiling to furniture—the space reflects itself endlessly. Horizontally ribbed cladding adds texture and movement, breaking up the reflections with subtle depth. The monochrome palette—silver, black, grey, white—reinforces the stark, futuristic tone. Recessed spots in the ceiling grid cast soft, directional light that plays across the metal surfaces, creating shifting patterns and refractions as you move through the space.
At the center, a sculptural display island curves low and wide in mirrored chrome, doubling as a counter and spatial anchor. Black modular seating on chrome frames complements the palette, while freestanding racks and oversized leaning mirrors extend the sense of openness. There are no partitions, no hard stops—just a continuous surface language that keeps the layout clean, horizontal, and fully exposed. A store designed not to contain the brand, but to reflect it back in full.
