Alexander Wang – Shanghai IAPM

Located in one of Shanghai’s most exclusive malls, this Alexander Wang store is built like an installation—reflective, controlled, and stripped of excess. The entire space leans into a grayscale palette, letting the metallics do the work. Walls and ceilings are clad in horizontal ribbed panels, shimmering under soft, directional lighting that casts striated reflections across every surface. It’s industrial, but elevated—minimalism with atmosphere. At the center, a glossy, mirror-finished island floats like a stage. Aerodynamic and layered, it functions as both display and sculptural anchor, setting the tone for everything around it.

Freestanding racks on wheels line the perimeter, unobtrusive and mobile—letting the architecture lead. The facade extends the same language outward, creating a seamless dialogue between interior and exterior. The result is more than a retail space—it’s a system. Polished, precise, and rhythmically stripped back.
