Alexander Wang – Nanjing

At its core, this interior is built on contrast—raw and polished, soft and hard, clarity and reflection. The design layers architectural precision with immersive reflection, creating a space that feels less like a store and more like a cinematic set. Mirrored walls and ceilings dissolve the room’s edges, pulling the focus inward—onto the product, onto sculptural elements, and onto the visitors themselves, reflected infinitely throughout the space. The boundaries blur, and the viewer becomes part of the installation.

Deep red carpeting spreads across the floor and climbs the ceiling, saturating the environment in heat and urgency. In Chinese culture and global fashion alike, red signals intensity—here, it adds emotional charge and a sense of theater. Against it, stark white sculptural forms act as visual anchors, holding the space steady. The centerpiece is a curved white bench that doubles as both display and installation. Along the perimeter, layered plinths beneath shelving mimic cast fabric, bringing softness and tactility into the frame. Gloss and matte, solid and sculpted—every element is a study in tension.
