Alexander Wang Chengdu: Monochrome Precision, Sculpted Luxury
Our Chengdu flagship for Alexander Wang marks the debut of an elevated concept—one that reimagines the brand’s industrial edge with heightened refinement. Located inside the Taikoo Li Mall, the store plays with reflection, tonality, and tension. Polished stainless steel meets sparkle concrete flooring in a space that feels bold, minimal, and undeniably sharp.
BRIEF
As the first store to launch the updated Alexander Wang concept in China, the Chengdu flagship had to make a statement:
Showcase material innovation. Highlight architectural details while maintaining a sleek, minimalist tone. Ensure a sense of luxury without sacrificing edge.
Architecture & Design
The store’s curved layout adds softness to an otherwise crisp material selection. Designed entirely with custom elements, it’s a space where precision meets presence. Reflective Surfaces – Ultra-polished steel cladding amplifies light and creates sculptural reflections.
Custom Flooring – Sparkle concrete was developed specifically for the store, adding subtle shimmer to every step.
Sculpted Flow – The curved plan invites movement and warmth, balancing the cool material palette.
Innovation & Technique
Material Harmony – Stainless steel, concrete, and other finishes were calibrated to express a single tonal range without flattening detail. Lighting as Texture – Light doesn’t just illuminate—it refracts, bounces, and defines. Every Piece Custom – From wall panels to flooring, nothing was off-the-shelf.
The Experience
Monochrome but never monotone, the Chengdu store balances sharpness with elegance. It’s a space that reflects Alexander Wang’s DNA—industrial, architectural, and unmistakably elevated.
